Winter Adventures with Blackthorn Campervans at Brian Head Ski Resort in Utah

Winter camping might sound like an idea reserved for the most rugged adventurers, but Blackthorn campervans make it not only possible but incredibly enjoyable. In our latest vlog, we spent the night at Brian Head Ski Resort in two of our cozy campervans, showcasing how winter camping can be a comfortable and hassle-free experience.

The Perks of Camping at Brian Head

Brian Head is one of the few ski resorts that allows overnight camping directly in their parking lot. This unique offering is a game-changer for winter sports enthusiasts who want to maximize their time on the slopes. After arriving, we set up camp (we turned on the heater, set up catan and turned on the starlink) and spent the evening enjoying games, laughter, and the warmth of our vans. Each van’s heating system kept us toasty, and the comfortable beds ensured a restful night’s sleep.

The next morning, instead of waking up early, driving icy roads, and scrambling for parking, we simply stepped out of the van and strolled over to the lifts. The convenience alone was worth it, but the experience also saved us time and stress. Not to mention I'm a sucker for sleeping in and being able to sleep in while still getting first chair was blissful to say the least.

Nearby Camping Options for Other Ski Resorts

While not all ski resorts offer overnight parking, many have nearby locations where you can set up camp. Resorts like Brighton and Snowbird in Utah, for example, don’t permit parking lot camping, but there are campgrounds, RV parks, and public lands close by that provide great alternatives. Websites like iOverlander, Campendium, and The Dyrt are excellent resources for finding these spots. Local ranger stations or visitor centers can also offer helpful advice on permitted camping areas.

The Advantages of Campervans in Winter

One standout feature of the Blackthorn campervans is their ability to transform even the coldest nights into a cozy retreat. During our trip, the vans’ built-in stoves and microwaves were lifesavers, allowing us to prepare a hot lunch without leaving the comfort of the van. It was much cheaper and more enjoyable than battling the crowds at the resort cafeterias. These amenities also make it easier to adapt to winter conditions, ensuring that every meal is satisfying and every night is warm.

Rediscovering the Joy of Winter

The purpose of this video was to show how much there is to enjoy during the colder months. With Blackthorn campervans, winter adventures become not just manageable but delightful. Whether you’re skiing, snowboarding, or simply taking in the snow-covered scenery, our campervans offer a way to stay warm, comfortable, and close to the action.

For anyone who’s ever hesitated to get out in winter, let this vlog serve as inspiration. With the right setup, there’s no need to sacrifice comfort for adventure. Campervans open up a world of possibilities, allowing you to explore and enjoy winter like never before.

So, bundle up, hit the slopes, and consider taking a campervan on your next winter getaway. You might just find it’s your new favorite way to travel.
